Cedarglen Homes has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Architectural Technologist to join our Drafting Team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work.  They must adapt easily to change and be eager to take on new challenges. Scope of work will include but is not limited to: 3D modelling of single family homes in Revit, production of working drawings, and production and grading of plot plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise working drawings, plot plans, and construction documents using computer-aided design software.
• Ensure designs comply with architectural guidelines, building codes, and municipal bylaws.
• Coordinate with developers, suppliers, and vendors to resolve design and documentation issues.
• Prepare and manage building permit applications and address permit-related queries with city officials.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation in the company’s management system.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in architectural drafting, preferably in residential projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction processes, and residential design standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge of residential construction, prior residential drafting experience, and current working knowledge of Calgary’s bylaws would be considered assets.
