Cedarglen Sponsored Events This Weekend
Don’t let the gloomy weather get you down, grab your friends and family and check out two exciting events that we are excited to be participating in this weekend!
Today (Saturday May 4th) there will be a Jane’s Walk taking place in The Parks of Harvest Hills that is open to everyone to attend. “Janes Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. It encourages people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.”
Join us from 1:00-2:30pm for ‘The Metamorphosis of The Parks of Harvest Hills’ walk guided by Jessica Karpat, Principal – Planning and Co-owner of QuantumPlace Developments Ltd. Together you will walk through the new neighbourhood to explore the design of a community from concept to construction and see what came to be almost 3 years after Calgary Council approved a land use change of the former Harvest Hills golf course. We will be out walking rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather! We will be meeting at 1:00pm at 333 Harvest Hills Manor NE.
On another note, Cedarglen Homes has been a long-time supporter for Wellspring Calgary and a sponsor for their marquee event – The Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge. Wellspring is a network of community-based support centres offering programs and services that meet the emotional, social, practical and restorative needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them. All these programs are offered free of charge and without referral. This Sunday there will be over 500 firefighters from across North America who will climb the stairs of the Bow Tower – one of Western Canada’s tallest buildings – in support of firefighters and citizens living with cancer. Calgary is poised to cheer on the brave ones who climb the 775 vertical feet – 1204 steps – of the Bow building in full duty gear.
Cedarglen Homes will be the live stream sponsor for this event displaying the results of the climb in real time on the street for all spectators. In addition, we will be officially unveiling an exciting project that we have been working on for several months – so be sure to come down to the Bow Tower Sunday morning to see it all firsthand!
