Cedarglen’s Five day Countdown to Christmas
By Stephanie Miller, Marketing Coordinator
Since last year’s Cedarglen Countdown to Christmas was a success, we couldn’t wait to make this a tradition and bring it back again this year! It was a great way to help out the community and get our staff in the Christmas spirit. Here is a look at what we have planned for December!
December 17, 2014 – Helping Out
Christmas is a season for giving, so we will be starting off the countdown by giving back to the community. This year we will doing that in the form of children’s gifts for the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre (CAC). The CAC gets to the truth when a child is suspected of suffering from physical, mental or sexual abuse. They are there to help these children mend and grow. The CAC creates a warm and welcoming environment for children and even have a room of toys, where each child gets to pick one. Cedarglen Homes wants to help fill up that room, so we encourage all of our staff to drop off toys at our office and we’ll bring them to these well deserving children!
December 18, 2014 – Christmas Cards
Each of our Cedarglen departments will be creating special holiday cards. Check out our Facebook and Twitter throughout the holiday season to see how they turn out!
December 19, 2014 – Christmas Lunch
On Friday, all of our staff will meet up at our office for one last holiday celebration! It’s a great way to get everyone together one last time to wish our co-workers a Merry Christmas.
December 22, 2014 – Ugly Sweater Day
Let’s start the week off by looking our not-so-best with an ugly Christmas sweater day! All of our staff is encouraged to wear their tackiest sweater to help spread holiday cheer (and a few laughs too).
December 23, 2014 – Baked Goods
We will be ending our holiday countdown with some Christmas baking. Everyone is welcomed to bring in their seasonal baked goods and recipes to share!
Then with Christmas just around the corner, we will all start parting ways for the holiday season. We wish everyone a Happy Holiday and hope that your Christmas season is filled with joy!
