
What to expect in Walden

At the end of September, we were thrilled to announce that Cedarglen Homes would be building in the South East community of Walden. Located just south of Lake Chaparral and 194 Avenue, Walden has an impressive combination of urban style homes that are surrounded by nature’s peaceful setting. As the community has a unique look, we wanted to offer something different for the Walden home buyer. Our drafting team came up with four new models, each offering both craftsman and urban elevations. The homes range between 1570 and 2030 square feet, providing excellent space for either a starter home or a move-up home. Each of our Walden models will include our Cedarglen standards of hardwood flooring, granite countertops and superb cabinetry. Here is a sneak peek of the models we will be building in Walden.
Coleman, 1870 square feet – 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms
The Coleman is different from any other model in Walden thanks to its Peninsula kitchen that offers plenty of cabinet space. It also features a cantilevered fireplace in the great room, a central bonus room, upper floor laundry and an ensuite off the master bedroom that includes a 48” x 36” fibreglass shower as well as a 72”x 42” soaker tub.
Huxley III 2030 square feet – 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms
The Huxley III is a new take on our Huxley model that can be found in our other communities. The Huxley III is perfect for any entertainer with its open main floor and large kitchen island. The upper floor includes a large bonus room, upper floor laundry and a spacious ensuite.
Kenzie 1761 square feet – 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms
A large open foyer welcomes you into the Kenzie model. The main floor features a walk-in pantry, plenty of cabinetry and a cantilevered fireplace in the great room. The upper floor includes a bonus room, upper floor laundry and a walk-in closet off the ensuite in the master bedroom.
Warner 1570 square feet – 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms
The Warner’s main floor features a cantilevered fireplace in the great room, a laundry room and a spacious kitchen with plenty of cabinetry and an island with an extended eating ledge. The upper floor includes a desk area with a built-in desk and a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and ensuite.
We’ve started the construction of our Walden showhomes and we plan on opening their doors by spring 2015. We will also be starting to build spec homes of the above models, so that you can be calling Walden home by spring of 2015!
