The Wellspring Home
By Stephanie Miller, Marketing Coordinator
In the last week we have started introducing our new tagline, Cedarglen Homes brings the Wellspring Calgary experience to Auburn Bay. Before letting you in on this latest initiative, here is a look at what makes this charity so special! Wellspring Calgary has been offering programs, resources and support to people living with cancer since 2007. In 2009, they opened their first location in NW Calgary; the Carma House. Their mission is to provide a comprehensive range of support, resources and programs so anyone living with cancer and the people who care about them can improve the quality of their lives.
How is Cedarglen Homes bringing the Wellspring Calgary experience to Auburn Bay? Cedarglen Homes, along with the help from our trades, will be building Wellspring Calgary a second temporary location in Auburn Bay right next to our current showhome parade. Why in Auburn Bay? Being on the opposite side of the city, it will be easier for people who may find the travel to the North West difficult and it will give Wellspring Calgary the opportunity to reach out to a whole new community. With Auburn Bay also being right near the super hospital, what better location could there be to help as many people as we can!
While operational, the Wellspring Home will be used much like the Carma House. It will be staffed by Wellspring Calgary who will be able to offer special programs to anyone affected by cancer as well as spread the awareness of their foundation and the support that they provide. With pieces of expressive art painted by Wellspring members displayed throughout the home, the Wellspring Home is sure to give off the same oasis feel that can be found at the Carma House.
We are currently on week 9 of construction and the home is coming along wonderfully thanks to the help and hard work of our trades. We will be keeping you updated throughout the construction process so that everyone can feel a part of this experience.
Since we’ve started working with Wellspring Calgary, we’ve been amazed at the inspirational stories that people have shared and would love to hear more. If you have a story that can help inspire others, we’d love to hear it.
Enjoy your weekend and your community!
