September Events

With September just around the corner, the summer is slowly coming to an end. Although that’s enough to get most people in a slump, there are some fantastic events to look forward to in September that will help you welcome the fall season!
To start off the season we have a community event in the Riverstone of Cranston to celebrate the latest showhome parades on September 13 , 2014, from noon to 5pm. This event is sure to be unlike any other! Riverstone is such a beautiful community and we are so excited to invite Calgarians to find out why it’s so special! There will be activities for everyone such as fly fishing, biking, wine tasting, kids corner, climbing wall and mini putt to name a few! With all the excitement going on outside remember to take the time to visit our wonderful new showhomes!
The next event on our Cedarglen calendars is one that we now look forward to every year, the TriWELLathon! On September 14 , 2014 at 9am, we will be participating in the Wellspring Calgary TriWELLathon for the fourth year in a row. The TriWELLathon is a yearly event put on by Wellspring Calgary where you compete in three (or more) wellness activities. These activities are based on different programs and classes that Wellspring Calgary offers year round to help individuals affected by cancer. Some of the activities we got to partake in last year were tai chi, tea ceremony, drum circle and yoga (just to name a few)! Not only did we get to enjoy the activities but our team of 20 employees and their generous sponsors were able to raise $9,175 for Wellspring Calgary’s wonderful cause. That was more than twice the amount we raised in 2012! Cedarglen Homes also took home the title of the Top Downward Dog Team Challenge Winners and our own Company President, Howard Tse, was the top individual fundraiser of the event! Saying good bye to the summer doesn’t have to be so hard when you have an exciting fall to look forward to!
