New Phase in Walden

So much has happened since Cedarglen Homes started building in Genstar’s ‘modern meets suburbs’ community of Walden. With the launch of our showhome parade in May 2015, new home buyers took advantage of the opportunity to purchase affordable single family homes in Walden. Our first phase, which included 30 lots, quickly filled up and with half of the front yards already landscaped, the street is looking great. These homes offer such great value, even I couldn’t pass up this opportunity, and I’m now thrilled to call Walden home! With this phase just about sold out, we are happy to announce that we have a new phase in the community where we will soon be starting construction.
With such an eventful first year in Walden, we thought who better to give us a recap than our Area Sales Manager, Dennis Mullen. “I didn’t know what to expect with the launch of Cedarglen’s project in Walden this year. Is it too far South? Does the modern architecture really suit the suburbs? Will people be reluctant to buy after oil prices dropped? Fortunately, it turns out people love being this far South, they are excited by the modern architecture, and with the value Cedarglen offered in phase 21, buying a new home was an easy decision for these new Waldenites! Walden has the all the features of an established neighborhood; Walden Gates shopping center not only offers convenience for residents, it allows them to gather regularly and engage in the community. Genstar has also done a great job ensuring many existing trees have remained in Walden, and the community is developing up around these features with great kids parks and trails. The wide open, big sky prairie feel characterizes the charm of Walden and it will be more of the same in the phases to come.
The new phase 27 offers some great lots as well with many South and West facing backyards. With prices starting in the $450,000’s, it is a great time to make the move to Walden!”
