Mark your Calendar; Christmas in our Communities

By Stephanie Miller, Marketing Coordinator

If you’ve stepped foot into a mall this past week, then you know that Christmas is on its way. There’s festive music playing, decorations being hung and let’s not forget the crowded parking lots! Although some people might say that it is a little too early, there is no denying that the Christmas spirit is in the air and that it is contagious! It’s definitely caught on in Calgary’s South East where we have plenty of craft fairs happening this weekend in our communities.

Christmas craft fairs provide our local artists, craft makers and home-based businesses with an excellent location to set up booths and showcase their talents. You’re sure to find wonderful holiday decorations as well as original and unique gifts. Here is a look at three craft fairs happening this weekend.

New Brighton:

Stop by the New Brighton Club on Saturday, November 22 between 10am and 3pm for their Christmas Craft Fair.

Auburn Bay:

In Auburn Bay, the Auburn House will be hosting their annual craft fair on Saturday, November 22, 2014 between 10am and 4pm. They will also have complimentary holiday photos with some fun festive backdrops.

Cranston:

Also on November 22, 2014 Cranston will be hosting their 4th Annual Christmas Bazaar at the Cranston Century Hall. Stop by anywhere between 10 am and 3pm.

Some vendors at the craft fairs won’t be accepting debit or credit cards, so it’s a good idea to have some money on hand. Admission is free but the communities will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Calgary Food Bank.

Enjoy your holiday shopping!
