Easter Activities in Calgary

By Stephanie Miller, Marketing Coordinator

What better way to take advantage of this long weekend then to go out and enjoy some of Calgary’s eggcellent events (sorry I couldn’t help it)! So we thought for this week’s blog, we’d take a look at a few festive events that can have you hopping around the city for Easter.

Let’s start off in the South East community of New Brighton. On Saturday, April 4th from 1pm to 4pm the New Brighton Club will be holding their yearly Easter celebration. You can expect fun activities such as egg hunting, games and crafts! They will also have a photo-booth set up for families to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This event is free for New Brighton Residents and you can click here to RSVP.

If you’re looking for some other fun Easter activities happening in the city, there are plenty to choose from. The Calgary Zoo has their annual Easter Eggstravaganza on April 3rd and 4th from 9am to 3pm. Face painting, sweet treats, bunny races and crafts are just a few of the Easter activities that are included in the cost of admission.

The community of Kensington also has an exciting day planned on April 5th from noon to 5pm. Your first step will be picking up an Easter egg basket and clues at their starting point. These clues will lead you on an Easter Egg Hunt all around Kensington Village looking for Easter treats. Find out more information here.

One more suggestion would be to head over to the Telus Spark’s Spring Sparktacular on April 3rd or April 4th from 10am to 5pm. They will be testing your chocolate knowledge with fun games such as a taste test that will challenge you to match the chocolate to its name and at the same time you can learn more about the nutritional value and attributes of the chocolate.

Whatever you decide to do for the long weekend, we hope that you get to enjoy the time with your families!
