Within the community of Cranston there are two schools currently undergoing construction. First is the Calgary Catholic School District’s Kindergarten to Grade 6 School located at 333 Cranford Drive SE. This school has a planned capacity of 600 and is estimated to open in September 2016. The Calgary Board of Education also has a school being built which will offer Grade 5- Grade 9 classes at 585 Cranston Way SE. This school has a planned capacity of 900 and is anticipating an opening date of January 2017.
