Community Spotlight : New Brighton
New Brighton is a vibrant community located in Southeast Calgary. New Brighton features a wonderful pond with walking paths as well as the New Brighton Club. The New Brighton Club facilities include tennis courts, a splash pool that doubles as an ice rink in the winter, as well as many indoor activities and classes. They host a number of community events each year, the next one being the New Brighton Clean-Up and BBQ, where community members get together to clean up the neighborhood. This year it is scheduled for July 13th, and will be a great way to end a week of Stampeding!
New Brighton is perfectly situated just minutes from Deerfoot Trail, providing easy access to the rest of the city. Nearby is also High Street in McKenzie Towne and 130 Avenue, both of which provide a wide variety of shops and restaurants.
