Cedarglen Homes is making this year about the community.

By Ashley Simpson, Marketing Coordinator

Cedarglen Homes is making this year about the community.

Cedarglen is committed to building engaging communities, not just with the homes we construct, but also through volunteering and community involvement. Here are some exciting events we have been a part of so far in 2013, as well as some upcoming events we are looking forward to:

  • Caring for KIDS Radiothon
  • New Brighton Valentine’s Day Skate
  • Okotoks Oilers at the Presidents Day Hockey Tournament
  • Medicine for the Soul benefiting Camp Horizon
  • New Brighton Easter Party
  • Cranston Movie Night beginning April 19th

Caring for KIDS Radiothon Results

The Caring for KIDS Radiothon was able to raise over $1.9 Million with your help. For the month of February, Cedarglen Homes made a $250 contribution for every house we sold. And we came up with amazing results....$8,750! That breaks down to more than one house per day. With these amazing results, I want to thank our hard-working sales team; they were the spokespeople for this event and their dedication to Cedarglen and giving back to the community is very much appreciated. Special thanks to our Area Sales Managers (Ward, Kimberley, Danielle, Dennis, and Mike) for leading their sales teams so well. You guys rock!

Medicine for the Soul benefiting Camp Horizon

Camp Horizon, located in the scenic Kananaskis country, provides new and exciting camp experiences to those living with disabilities. The Medicine for the Soul event is one of many events being put on this year by the Calgary Home Builders Foundation, as they work towards reaching their goal of $1 Million in donations for Camp Horizon by December 2013. Part of this year’s donations will help to replace the existing cramped dormitories. With the current capacity to accommodate 1,600 campers, Camp Horizon is hoping to expand this area, add quarters for caregivers, and make dormitories more wheelchair and equipment friendly. We are looking forward to this special evening supporting Camp Horizon.

Cranston Movie Night – Beginning April 19

The Cranston Residents Association hosts a monthly movie night at Century Hall, located in the heart of Cranston. Every third Friday of the month, neighbours and families gather to watch the month’s family-friendly movie. Cedarglen Homes is so excited to be the sole sponsor of this year’s family movie night!
