I hate to admit, but my grandmother may have the tackiest kitchen you've ever seen: complete with more decorative plates on display than an episode of "Antiques Roadshow", paintings of European castles hung prominently and brightly-coloured, hand crocheted pot holders adorning the countertop. Her glamorous kitchen also features blue periwinkle wallpaper on the walls (and inside the cupboards), with matching decorative seat cushions on the chairs at what looks like Liberace's dining room table (hidden beneath a full table-sized doily). I would describe the style of her kitchen as "Coronation Street" meets "The Lawrence Welk Show" with a bit of "Dynasty" thrown in for good measure. If there's one decorating tip she should learn, it would be this: less is more. Much like a Jackie Collins novel, my grandmother doesn't know when to stop with the details.
